Dr. Lopez

I received chiropractic treatment as a teenager for back pain and realized the importance of spinal rehabilitation for injuries and musculoskeletal complaints.  Also, chiropractic treatment and the body’s response to spinal adjustments to improve the quality of life of the patient and the benefits of alleviating muscle spasm, nerve compression, joint fixation.  I have 18 years of experience and care about the patient’s well-being and their overall improvement. I am a Miami Dade College graduate and I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Life University and Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Life University College of Chiropractic. I am an accident doctor and currently licensed to practice in Fl. and GA. and a member of the FCS association and FCA association.

Dr. Whitney Maldonado has been a treating Chiropractic physician for Pros Miami  since May 2018.

A native of South Carolina, she graduated as Valedictorian from her high school  class.  She later attended College of Charleston, in Charleston, SC, where she earned  a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.  In 2014, she graduated Magna Cum  Laude as a Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic.   She has  completed advanced training in pediatric and pregnancy care and is certified in  Webster technique.

Dr. Maldonado is an accident doctor and passionate about assisting patients in meeting their health and  fitness goals.  She provides gentle chiropractic adjustments, safe for patients of all  ages.  She enjoys working with children, expectant mothers, families, athletes, and  anyone who has musculoskeletal pain.  Whether seeking relief from neck and lower  back pain or injuries in a car accident, Dr. Maldonado is skilled at providing effective  treatment that produces results.

Apart from serving patients, Dr. Maldonado enjoys spending time with her husband  and son.  She is an active member in her church and volunteers in the nursery.   Within the community, she advocates on the importance of healthy lifestyle habits  and is often researching the latest chiropractic breakthroughs.

Marie Trotman’s interest peaked by watching her parents heal naturally through chiropractic care as a child. Her love for anatomy and physiology cemented her career choice as a Chiropractic Physician. She earned her bachelor’s degree in science from Excelsior College and graduated with honors when she received her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Life University in 2003. She received additional certification from the University of Miami was received in  Acupuncture in 2013.  

Since graduation, for the past 17 years, she has practiced in the state of Florida, diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions and become an accident doctor. Now she helping patients with pain management and lifestyle choices as well as home care set her apart from other doctors. She has empathy and treats all her patients as individuals. 

Outside work Marie participates in beach cleanups to better the environment and cancer walks to raise funds and awareness for cancer research.

Manual therapy involves the manipulation of superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using multiple techniques. This manipulation of muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, skin, joints, and connective tissues to improve function, aid in the healing process, and promote relaxation.

Manual therapy involves working and acting on the body with pressure, tension, motion, or vibration, done either manually or with mechanical aids.

Psychotherapy

Our psychotherapists aid in the treatment of mental and emotional disorders resulting from an accident through psychological techniques designed to encourage communication of their conflicts in order to gain insight into their underlying problems.

The goal is the relief of symptoms such as stress and anxiety, as well as changes in behavior that allow them to return to their normal activities of daily living.
